Nothing stops the hackers, if you can engineer it, someone will be able to reverse-engineer it.
The video above shows some wonderful job on the Wii Homebrew scene. Apparently, someone had managed to create a whole new Wii Homebrew Channel by themselves, of which you will be able to use the wiimote to navigate and play any those homebrew games you fancy.
