Semi-finals started today!… and guess what, the game for today is… Super Smash Brothers: Brawl!
This totally comes as a surprised to me, as I was expecting either Rabbids or even the Wii Sports to be the Semi-final games, cuz, Brawl just seems like such a technical game for a open competition like this.
But anyway, it all went well as the organisers are thoughtful enough to provide about 15 mins for each participant to familiarise the character they chosed, with a printed control guide. 15 minutes is probably only enough for someone to know the basic steps and how to move around though, not to learn the advance recovery moves.
To be honest, as a participant myself, I feel that this arrangement is not entirely fair to everybody, as I myself brawls everyday at home, so you can guess I was kinda relief I do not have to go through another round of picture-matching game again.
And yes, I did win the game, simply by keep throwing the bomb at my opponent. I am cheap, sorry!
So the total number of contestants are now down to 8, and we will be fighting again on an unknown game as of now next Saturday, 5pm at Jurong Point.
Wish my luck, again.

i was on day1 but got eliminated on 1st round…i didnt know will be playing mario party 8, haha!
then day2 ssbb? waaaa!
finals maybe wii sports or mario kart or wii play? LOL!
i agree with u, this tourney is not organized…i was expecting wii sports will be played on the entire tourney, so lame…
i hope this community will organize tourneys better than this in the future, wink* wink*

Coming Final, Think the games are going to be as lame as ever since there is still Kids in the match….. Nothing of the sports game will turn up in the rounds… anyway, it’s just a game, lost it, we still enjoy the free games, win it, than there is vouchers…. it’s a win-win situation….

anyway since the competition is open to almost everybody at any age, its to be expected that the games involved are more for the fun of it…
