At Blizzcon (NOT TGS), Blizzard announced that Starcraft 2 will come in 3 separate packages, as a trilogy for the 3 campaigns of different races.
- Terrans – Wings of Liberty
- Zerg – Heart of the Swarm
- Protoss – Legacy of the Void
What does this mean? Means you have buy 3 times for 1 game lah!! But its Blizzard, so Its perfectly OKAY for them to do this, seriously, they can release Starcraft 2 and charge me monthly I oso dont care.

i wonder if it would make sense to release it in a bundle of all 3 games in one package, which should cost less than buying all 3 games separately, of course…
of course, if they release a collector’s ed,, i’m sold

their official reason is…. they wanna get the game out ASAP… u know… if they do wait till all the campaigns of 3 races are done…. we probably can see SC2 by end of 2017…
the 2 later releases will be packaged as expansion packs… so I believe they will all cost the same –> full price.
For me, I am not that keen to play campaigns…. so if the Terran disc will allow me to logon to the new Battlenet as per normal…. I am perfectly fine with that.
