As above, Maxsoft has this message to pass to all Wii owners in Singapore. Its really refreshing to see all the efforts by Maxsoft, a local distributor for Nintendo, to be doing so much for the community in recent times.
To celebrate the release of Guitar Hero World Tour and Rayman TV Party, GameFrontz will be holding our 2nd Wii Party.
Venue: Nee Soon South CC (Khatib MRT)
Date: 22 Nov 08 (Sat)
Time: 2-5pm
We shall be having Guitar Hero World Tour demo and Rayman TV Party tournament! And we are making the event free! As long as you do a email registration before 21 Nov. Anyone can play these 2 games.
On top of that, we shall be having a live face-to-face Brawl pro tournament. This tournament is based on pre-registration only. Tournament format to be announced soon.
Dun worry, this time round the event will be in an air-con room.
On top of the above 3 games, we’ll like to hear feedback on what other games you are interested in. Help us do the simple poll below.
Real life Lara Croft, aka Alison Carroll, a professional display gymnast and model, who is only 23 years old, is coming to Singapore! And she looks hot in pictures.
Do catch her life in Marina Square at the X08 event on Friday 24th Oct 08 8pm sharp.
I dunno what X08 is about, but I’ll be there to see her.
For more images on Alison, use Google. Gamesradar has a wonderful album of her.
Tokyo Game Show will take place on 9 – 12 Oct. 9 and 10 will be Business Days where the publishers and developers will take turn to announce and show off new and upcoming games. 11 and 12 will be Public Days where everyone will get the chance to hands on and talk with one another.
Nintendo won’t be there, since they just had their own conference last week. But 3rd party Nintendo games publisher would. So keep your eyes and browser open for exciting news coming up on tomorrow and Friday. Expect BIG Playstation news and games.
We are now searching for a location for our Rayman TV Party tournament cum launch party. Preferably accessible and big enough for 20-30 people at a time. Date should be 15 or 16 Nov, afternoon timing. The party should be a semi-private one, for our regulars customers.
If you have a good and cheap (or free) location in mind, do let us know.
kolslorr posted everything except for the new DS, which is call DSi. It’ll be on sale in Japan in November, that’s fast! Nintendo always managed to keep everything in the wraps till the right and ripe time to do so.
I am so going to get the white one to go with my Wii. And yes, my under-played PSP is going to my brother. It’s time the I show some brotherly love. There’s simply no games for me in PSP. Animal Crossing and Mario Party DS, here I come!
And, my wife actually booked 2 tickets for us to Tokyo in first week of November. This is too good to be true, I’m going to be the first Singaporean to play with the DSi, hahahahaha!!! Pre-orders for DSi?
DSi specifications:
White or Black
18900 yen
VGA 640 x 480 camera
Dual camera
Smaller and thinner than DS Lite
SD slot
Internal memory
No GBA slot
DSi capabilities
Photo editor software
DS Ware – download games to play on DSi
Free Nintendo Points
My advice, stop buying DS Lite till DSi is out. No more R4 hahahaha
Take a look at our new banner, LBP craze is coming to town. Alot of people is going to watch Sony announcements at the Tokyo Game Show. Take a look at the LBP booth in “First Look” show, it certainly has a casual and Nintendo look in them. Sony is going casual, wow! Die, you hardcores, die!!!
Last year this time Nintendo announced Monster Hunter 3 has switched camp from PS3 to Wii. That was the biggest announcement, big enough to upset many PS3 fans and cheer Wii owners.
This year, as usual, Nintendo will be skipping the prestigous Tokyo Game Show and holding its own Nintendo conference. Surely there will be some interesting announcements.
Many people guess that a new DS will be announced. Others hopes for games like new Zelda or Mario. Yet others are skeptical of it because of what happened to E3 (Wii Resorts and Wii Speak). The most hardcores are betting their money on a storage solution. What will you expect from it?
Look out for live blogging or video on this Thursday.
I’d love to have a Rabbids tournament. Every night I’m dreaming of beating other players with my raving powers. Maybe we can have one on our next outdoor Wii Party. Kolslorr and I are still trying to get hold of a venue.
Here’s my dream tournament:
Rayman Raving Rabbids 2 game
2 vs 2 format, for the game to be fair
At least 8 teams
Each team play twice, on two pre-configured custom sets of games
Top 2 highest scores teams play each other in finals
Winning team wins 2 copies of Rayman TV Party
Highest score member of winning team will be crowned King of Rabbids!
Hopefully we can find a venue in time and have Maxsoft sponsor the prizes. Any other suggestions?
