Oops, I realised that my comment earlier was somehow truncated..

1) I have a half colour set - with 2 triplets of dragons already open and the rest are char suit. I was waiting for the last set of dragon. One of the player threw out the last tile of that dragon set, but instead, the screen showed that I have less than 1 point and cannot game. I could still game after that tho. Basically, the screen was shown incorrectly, but it didn't affect the game.

2) I've encountered this twice. I have a legitimate game which would have gotten 5 points. But I couldn't game at all, and it always happen when you get a "gong", and then the replacement tile that you get from the gong is your winning tile, but the program does not allow you to win. I had to throw out the tile and wait again. Not sure if you get what I mean..

I have screenshots to show if required.

I've encountered 2 scenarios, 1 similar to ClericTaven above:

1) I have a half colour set - with 2 triplets of dragons already open and the rest are character suit. I was waiting last set of dragon. One of the player threw out the last card of that dragon tile, but instead, the screen showed that I have less than 1 point. I was still able to game tho after that. So basically, the 1 point (infact, would be 5 points), but I couldn't game at all, and it always happen when you get a "gong", and then the replacement tile that you get from the gong is your winning tile, but the program does not allow you to win. I had to throw out the tile, and wait again.

As I found via Google @ http://www.singaporemahjong.com/rules

In Singapore Mahjong the rules for All Chow game are very unique and different from other types of Mahjong.

To have an All Chow game the following criteria must be meet;
1. The EYE cannot be a Dragon Tile or the Prevailing Wind or the Players Wind for that game.
2. The tiles must be made up of one EYE and four CHOWs.
3. If the player wins the game on a discarded tile, there must be more than one unique
tile that could have caused the player to win the game (get mahjong).

More detailed rules were found via Google @ http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Singaporean_Mahjong_scoring_rules

Carmen -

Mahjong traditionally is a tile based Rummy-like game. Their are a plethora of other "matching" games found on the App Store, but do give this a chance to learn this one too. (Yahoo! Games also offers 'live' Mahjong with rules posted which are handy to print-out).

Basically as the game help explains, there are three suits, Characters, Bamboo and Balls. In addition there are Honors which can be only Pong/Gong sets. (3/4 of a kind). The extra tiles are tossed in for scoring are Flowers, Seasons and Animals (SG Bites).

The first "Dealer" is East (Position 1) and the round also begins as East. As non-dealer players Win subsequent hands, the deal progresses around the table (the winds shift). Once everyone has been the East Dealer, the second Round beings as South (2) wind. This continues throughout West (3) and North (4).

You can score points from hand combinations, collections and when lucky enough, matching the Flower/Season and Wind tiles to your seat or the prevalent Round Wind. {You would score double as East dealer during the first East round by pong/gong of the East tiles.

Good Luck

Thank you for your reply to my recent email. If I may share with the others here about Sequence hands. {Also check the other postings under "lite" explaining circumstances when to go out).

The first sequence win was not possible in Singapore Mahjong because you have a dragon pair.
The only honor pair possible are the winds without other support points.

For the 2nd hand, it's a bug and will be solved in the new release. (Dragon Honor pongs)

The 3rd hand is not possible to win because a sequence hand can only be counted if you are waiting on 2 or more tiles;
in your case you are waiting for a single tile.

Sequence hand have many restrictions.
